 Along with the economic growth that Round Rock has experienced over the last decade, the Round Rock Independent School District has seen its student enrollment surpass 34,000.  There are also alternatives to public school education with private schools such as the Round Rock Christian Academy.

For those seeking higher and continuing education, Round Rock is conveniently located near several major universities, including the prestigious University of Texas at Austin.  Round Rock is also very proud of the new Round Rock Higher Education Center, which offers baccalaureate and advanced degrees within its city limits. Austin Community College is a great platform for students preparing for a higher institution or to continue their education.
