The stated mission of the Round Rock Fire Department is to deliver the highest level of fire suppression, emergency medical, fire prevention and disaster relief services for a rapidly changing community. In order to meet the public safety needs in Round Rock, a sixth fire station was added in 2004.

In addition to responding to over 3,300 calls in 2003, the department continued to educate the public on fire prevention through numerous educational programs.

The Round Rock Fire Department is committed to the safety of the residents and businesses of Round Rock. Through the training, experience and expertise of a dedicated staff of 88 full-time firefighters and 45 volunteer firefighters, the department delivers on its stated mission.
