Goodwill Industries of Central Texas will soon open its new Round Rock store.
The larger Round Rock location at 150 West Palm Valley Blvd. will replace an existing Goodwill, now at 2120 North Mays Street. The new store will host a grand opening celebration Feb. 13.
“Opening a new store is great for the community,” Goodwill CEO and President Gerald Davis said. “This new location is more accessible for our donors and shoppers, which will translate into more revenue to support our mission.”
Goodwill offers workforce programs and other job services to people with barriers to employment because of disability, advanced age, lack of education or job experience or criminal background.
In 2009, Goodwill helped serve more than 13,000 Central Texans, up from 10,000 in the previous year.
