The Round Rock ISD has adopted a “Blueprint For Excellence” to guide the district’s vision and mission of providing an environment where students and teachers are inspired in their quest for knowledge, and where students are encouraged to reach their individual potential and become well-rounded citizens who are able to meet the challenges of the 21st century workplace.
The Round Rock ISD spans nearly 110 square miles of southwest Williamson County and northwest Travis County, including northern portions of the greater Austin metropolitan area. Presently the district consists of 4 high schools, 8 middle schools, 27 elementary schools, 2 alternative education centers and 4 learning communities. The average student-to-teacher ratio is 14.7 and the average dropout rate is just 0.5 percent.
