Round Rock's highway systems handle the existing industrial and commuter infrastructure with SH-79, IH-35 and SH-45. SH-45 project was completed in Fall 2006 and is the lifeline that carries Round Rock commuters and travelers to the recently completed portion of SH-130. SH-130, a State Highway toll system, parallels IH-35 and will connect Georgetown to San Antonio upon completion.
Currently SH-79 cuts through the heart of Round Rock east and west. IH-35, which extends north to south, runs from Minnesota to Mexico and provides straight-line access to Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas. I-10, which extends to east to west from Florida to California, is within 100 miles of Round Rock in San Antonio.
